Cardinal Ventures
Cardinal Ventures is a 10-week program focused on helping students develop their business ideas and source funding. Ten to fifteen teams are accepted each session to participate in weekly speaker sessions focused on different components of founding and operating a business, and structured workshops to help you develop a business plan. Speaker sessions and workshops will include guest speakers with expertise in relevant fields: local entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, and professors, among others.
Cardinal Venture companies receive:
The chance to form connections with the entrepreneurs, VCs, angel investors, and other Stanford students and alumni serving as mentors and guest speakers
Practice pitching their business idea to a group of potential investors.
We do not take equity, and all companies can exit the program with no further commitments to SSE.

FAQs
The Cardinal Ventures program is meant for founders who are in the prototyping phase of their startup. Our program walks founders through the steps of refining their business plan, building upon their ideas, and advising a go-to-market strategy. Through the program, the Cardinal Ventures team aims to position each founder team for success when it comes to fundraising and expanding their team.
As a start-up accelerator, the CV program requires founding teams to dedicate at least 5 hours of work a week toward refining their business ideas. This is done through a combination of workshops, speaker sessions, mentorship mixers, and other meet-ups to allow for their network expansion and to access actionable feedback on a regular basis.
Over the years, Cardinal Ventures has built a strong network of investors, venture capitalists, and thought leaders within the Silicon Valley. From our advisors and mentors just off of campus to VC firms throughout the Bay, we have worked with partners at Y Combinator, Fenwick & West, Pear Ventures, and others, to provide guidance to our cohort teams.
